2025 And Beyond
I'm writing this as a shared internal note, to set this ship's direction for the rest of 2025. As you may have noticed, half of the year is already gone. This first half has given us exceptional and valuable lessons in marketing, networking, video production, working with galleries, commissions, artistic approach and overall direction.
Looking at the horizon, it is simple to notice that we are still left with no other choice but to bend the knee to the technocrats, and that this planet still bears the name: "Capitalism". While we must bend this knee, and feed the algorithms that will ultimately control every aspect of human, animal, and plant life on this planet, the values held by the work I create, publish, and document will never be replaced, changed, or obstructed. Although they are stronger than stone and shine brighter than gold, they have yet to be fully revealed and noticed by other human souls.
As the world moves deeper into the shadows and polished simulacra, the impoverishment in original art and culture has never been more obvious. I firmly believe, that it is only a matter of time before humanity starts craving for human connection, imperfections, tangible ownership, poignant authenticity, and vulnerability, while all their freedoms and their possibilities of ownership are slowly but surely being stripped away from them.
I see collage, in its very nature, as a transformative art guided by intuition. This transformative essence goes beyond repurposing paper materials into art. With time, it also transforms the person transforming those materials. With even more time, I believe this transformative power's natural path goes beyond the individual artist to benefit society. In this process, I believe it is of the highest importance to remain faithful to our very own human intuitions. If these become guided by external forces such as algorithms, we are no longer serving humanity or society, but the very greed of the dominating elites.
With this in mind, my goal for the rest of the year is to not only create art that stays true to this stance, but to significantly increase the output of content that champions these values. We'll be shifting into higher gears, insuring every piece created, published, and documented reinforces this commitment to authenticity, human connection, and intuitive creation.
