Why I Create Art
Maybe, just maybe, my ultimate purpose here on this earth is to understand myself. To look inwards, and analyze my thoughts. As these become words, words become actions, and actions become reality. Just as our collective imagination shapes the physical world we live in, an individual could simply be a tangible product of his own imagination, brought into a reality that is nothing more than an illusion.
We've been taught to fear death, but perhaps it is simply a point of contact where we greet our higher selves in order to exchange what we've learned on earth to enter a higher plane of existence and further expand our consciousness. I see the making of my artworks as one of the currencies that will be made in this exchange. As they are the results of an alchemical process involving countless explorations of my own inner landscapes, which I believe have brought me closer to the divine, or a higher Truth. While they live in tangible form, they also live within me, as the fruit of an experience. We can see the fruit, but it is harder to see the roots.
While I look inwards into my own reservoir of thoughts, emotions, and experiences to create from pure intuition, I am fully aware that there is an external source from which ideas are born and transmitted to us. Our minds are no different than radios, which can regularly receive information from this source if the antennas are well adjusted and in tune with the natural order of the universe. In stark contrast to an AI, I do not reason. I do not think in these moments. When I create, when I enter the zone, I dance to the rhythms and vibrations sent to me, practicing innovation through ignorance.
A large majority of us live our lives at its center and understand the world only by using the lens of our own perception, fixing us deeper into reality's illusions with a bloated ego. In this way, our only aim is for survival and we become easily manipulated by the small minority who have learned to adopt different perspectives of perception such as a bird's eye view. Creating art allows me to look at myself from this bird's eye view, but I hold no intent in manipulating others. Instead, I wish to share these experiences and document my own journey and artworks, to better embrace this natural order and enhance my own self awareness, just like any other good bird would.
Be the water my friend.
