Ma Benz is a mixed media collage combining my recent and older photographs with fragments of 1970s German magazines. The piece critiques the glorification of owning a Benz, often celebrated in rap songs, by depicting a destroyed car. Using techniques like bleaching, acetone degradation, and distorted scans, I reassembled the torn photos into a collage that questions the fleeting nature of materialism.
