World Collage Day – May 10th
Organized and curated by Silvia Dubois, this temporary exhibition celebrates World Collage Day with a vibrant showcase of collage works from around the globe. The event also features the Collage Lab, an open studio space where new creations come to life in real time.
The exhibition took place in the awe-inspiring Mijnkathedraal in Beringen. The name Mijnkathedraal refers to the grand churches built by mining companies in the Limburg region to serve their workers' communities. Officially known as the Sint-Theodardus Church, the building was constructed between 1939 and 1943 under the guidance of architect Henri Lacoste. It stands as one of the most monumental churches in Limburg, renowned for its Byzantine-style architecture, breathtaking stained-glass windows, and a serene inner courtyard—making it a truly distinctive and evocative venue for this celebration of collage.
