Junk Drawer
Curated by the Superchief Gallery, Junk Drawer is a visually charged exhibition that leans into the overstimulated experience of modern life—a chaos uniquely captured through the medium of collage. In an era overflowing with visual noise, collage becomes a method of reclamation, allowing artists to reorganize and reframe the fragmented world around them. Each piece in the exhibition offers a personal response to this contemporary saturation, translating disorder into distinct artistic language.
On February 1st, 2024, selected works from Junk Drawer were exhibited at the Canvas 3.0 Gallery located inside the Oculus World Trade Center in New York City. This high-traffic, iconic public venue amplified the exhibition’s impact, engaging thousands of passersby with the energy and innovation of contemporary collage and digital art.
As part of Junk Drawer, I contributed the artwork Engage—a composition in which layered elements weave together to form a textured narrative of harmonious chaos. The piece seeks to explore the delicate equilibrium between disorder and structure, reflecting the rhythms of both natural systems and societal dynamics. It is not just a visual work, but a call to action—to engage more deeply with the patterns that govern the world around us.
